The short course considers the main reasons for overload - too high a demand, insufficient supply - or both - and how to manage them more effectively' the half day option then considers how best to manage your response to overload; and the full day provides an extended case study to allow you to put the learning into practice.
Never 'death by powerpoint'
We always provide a variety of learning approaches in each of our workshops.
Each workshop typically includes learning input from the trainer, supported by a range of mixed media, interactive elements, discussion and group work. Most workshops also include case work and practical skill-development activities to apply the learning, with more time dedicated to this in the longer courses.
'Want more?' resource pack
In addition to providing a copy of any slide deck, we always provide a ‘want more’ section, of curated resources including book summaries, podcasts, downloads and articles.
The course was over too quickly, and had definitely whetted my appetite. The ‘want more’ section was a brilliant additional support, allowing me to explore the topic further.

Managing Overload Frequently Asked Quesitons
Isn't overload inevitable these days?
Probably - so it's particularly important to be able to bring any such overload down to a minimum, and prevent or deal effectively with any stress it produces.
How much of overload is down to circumstance or personal factors?
Both can play a significant part, and these courses will examine how much is down to you or to other factors; but either way, how you manage such overload then depends on you...
Can there be an 'overload culture'?
That's possible - for instance, gaining points (at least apparently) for being first into the office and last to leave...and if this is the case, then the problem is not overload, but culture...
Which of these courses should I take first?
If you only have one option, then the full day course will provide the most comprehensive overview of the causes and consequences of overload, what you can do to minimise such overload, and how to manage any stress that overload creates. And having covered all this in the morning, the afternoon is devoted to running a number of scenarios to put the learning into practice.
